Description

The Provenair pneumatic cylinder is NFPA-repairable and interchangeable, and features 15 NFPA mounting styles. The tie bolt construction, found in Series AN to the 4″ bore model, removes problems regarding tie rod torque and rod bending, while the walled tubes can withstand denting and the cylinder utilizes washout-proof factory-lubricated grease.

This cylinder is available with an extruded barrel in bore sizes of 1-1/2″, 2″, 2-1/2″, 3-1/4″ and 4″, while the bigger bore sizes of 5″, 6″, 8″ and 10″ are fitted with pre-stressed steel tie rods (AN series). These operate with an air pressure of up to 250psi with output forces of up to 19,635lb (a bore of 10″ operating at 250psi). The standard operating temperature is between 0 to 185 degrees (Fahrenheit) and -18 to 82 degrees (Celsius). There are also optional 303 SS piston rods, oversized rods and slippery seals available.
