Every February 14, Americans (well, most of them) celebrate a day of love on St. Valentine’s Day. The tradition of celebrating love on February 14 dates back to 14th century England and Geoffrey Chaucer. Before then, the day was a feast day to commemorate Saint Valentine of Rome, who was martyred on February 14 in AD 269. Today, Valentine’s Day certainly doesn’t carry that same meaning, as ow we tend to think of it as a “Hallmark” holiday to help boost sales for companies following the Christmas shopping season. The day is filled with flowers, chocolates, trinkets, the occasional engagement ring, and a myriad of other romantic gestures. And while many of these exclamations of love succeed, there are plenty of Valentine’s fails that have us laughing.

We’ve gathered a collection of Valentine’s fails from people all across the country. Sometimes these fails are a flower company completely butchering a flower delivery, others are over-zealous companies trying desperately to cash in on the holiday and just falling flat on its face, and other times are unintentional mishaps that you just have to see to believe. You’ll love these Valentine’s fails so much, you’ll want to SHARE them with all your friends on social media!
