What Was It That He Saw?
Ranger Cole had no idea what he was looking at. Standing on the riverbank, he stared across to the other side, his face marked by clear confusion and eyes wide with shock.
Something was gradually rising from the water on the far bank, its appearance unlike anything he’d ever encountered.
An Unusual Creature
Ranger Cole remained still, careful not to startle the strange animal. He had never come across anything like it before and was eager to figure out what it could be. After spending years working in the national park, he thought he was familiar with every species that lived there—but clearly, he was wrong.
As more of the creature emerged from the water, Cole let out a startled gasp.
